These cookies are my family’s favorite! They have a very sophisticated taste.
They are super easy, fast baking and come together in less than 15 minutes. I usually whip them together when we need something sweet to eat after a nice dinner together. And like most good Italian kitchens we always have Chocolate Hazelnut spread in the cabinets.
Yield: 12-18 cookies
1 cup chocolate hazelnut spread
2 tbsp. brown sugar
¾ cup flour
Coarse Himalayan Sea Salt
Preheat oven to 350F
In an electric mixer with the paddle attachment, combine hazelnut spread, brown sugar and egg.
Mix on low speed until blended.
Slowly add the flour and mix just until a dough is formed
(Do NOT over-mix)
Scoop cookies onto a cookie sheet tray lined with parchment paper.
Top each with a sprinkle of Himalayan Sea Salt.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Cool cookies before removing from sheet tray. (They usually don’t make it to a plate).
